It is very difficult to give an accurate price guide for artwork. Clearly, some designs are more complex than others and wil require a greater outlay of time.
Stock photographs are the easiest things for us to price - but even with a photo we need to know where, and at what size the image will be displayed. A stock photo reproduced on your home page at 800 x 600 pixels (about a third to half of the average computer screen) will cost around £30.
Reproduced on any other page it will cost less, but if you want to print it out and use it on your company brochures or in a magazine there will usually be an additional charge. Exclusive rights to the use of a photograph will also generally cost more.
Commissioned photographs will almost always cost more - because we have to spend time taking and processing them!
Cartoons can be large or small, simple or quite complex. The outline cartoons displayed on the pages of this website vary in price from £30 to £80. A cartoon with a colour wash will cost just a little bit more.
Block colour cartoons such as the ones of Mighty Lemon Drop and the yacht with the seals take a surprisingly long time to do. These cost somewhere in the region of £120 as part of a website design package.
Block colour logos are designed by hand and then produced on the computer. This ensures consistent colour quality and allows the maximum opportunity for colour variation - but it does take a lot of time. Block colour logos such as the ones designed for Black Cat PC, Club Vela, or Yacht Mollymawk cost somewhere around £120 as part of a website design package.
The time taken to make a watercolour painting varies enormously depending on the size of the picture and the complexity of the subject. A fairly straightforward, small (A4 sized) watercolour painting produced from the customer’s photograph will cost approximately £80 as part of a website design package.
We are sorry that we cannot be more exact in our pricing. We know that it can be annoying to recieve a vague answer to the question “What will it cost?”. If you want a precise quote please contact us to discuss your requirements.
